Did you know... The average keyboard has 3,295 germs per square inch, while the average toilet seat has about 49 germs per square inch? The season is changing, and the pasty faces of the unclean are making their appearances. Forget Halloween zombies, we're afraid of getting sick!
Give that scum a scrub by grabbing an antibacterial wipe or using a small amount of cleaning solution on a paper towel. Wipe down the keyboard, and don't forget your mouse, phone receiver, and general desktop area while you're at it. Nobody wants to touch a revolting keyboard, and doing this once in a while will help keep our office healthy!
Cold viruses can live for several hours on hard surfaces such as counter tops, doorknobs, or phone receivers. The previous suggestions will help, but we couldn't possibly keep germs away from everything. The CDC reports the simple act of washing your hands is the most important means of preventing the spread of viruses and bacteria.
